After a successful career on Wall Street, an extended stint as a homeless shelter volunteer, and executive leadership of a rescue effort at a leading New York City youth agency, Bob turned his attention to education. He created the WKBJ Partnership, which provided seed capital for North Star Academy Charter School (later to evolve into Uncommon Schools) and which became the centerpiece of his life’s energies: directly assisting over 300 financially challenged young people to pursue their educational aspirations.
